How do I download VitGuru?
VitGuru is available on both the Apple App Store for iOS devices and Google Play Store for Android devices. Search "VitGuru" or download directly: iOS App Store | Google Play Store
Do I need to create an account?
No! VitGuru works without any account. Your data is stored locally on your device. You can optionally use Apple Sign-In if you want to sync across devices.
Is VitGuru free to use?
Yes! VitGuru has a free version with core features. Premium features like bottle scanning and advanced analytics are available for ยฃ4.99/month.
Does VitGuru work in my timezone?
Yes! VitGuru is timezone-aware and automatically adjusts to your device's timezone. Your vitamin tracking and daily progress are calculated based on your local time, ensuring accurate daily totals regardless of travel or location changes.

How does the bottle scanner work?
Our smart scanner (Premium feature) uses OCR text recognition and barcode scanning to instantly read vitamin labels. Simply point your camera at the label or barcode, and VitGuru automatically extracts all nutritional information from our comprehensive global vitamin database.
Can I add custom vitamins?
Yes! Premium users can create custom vitamin entries for any supplements not in our database.
How accurate are the RDA values?
Our RDA values are sourced from official health authorities: regional health authorities, European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) for Europe, and Food and Nutrition Board for USA. For countries outside these regions, we use Food and Nutrition Board guidelines as the default. All values are updated regularly to reflect current recommendations.

How do I upgrade to Premium?
Open VitGuru, go to Settings, and tap "Upgrade to Premium". Payment is handled securely through Apple's App Store.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, anytime! Go to your iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > VitGuru, and cancel there. You'll keep Premium features until the end of your billing period.
Is there a free trial?
We occasionally offer free trials for new users. Check the app for current offers!

The app is crashing, what should I do?
Try these steps: 1) Close and reopen the app, 2) Check for app updates in the App Store, 3) Restart your device, 4) If issues persist, contact us below.
Camera scanner isn't working?
Make sure you've granted camera permissions in Settings > VitGuru > Camera. Also ensure good lighting when scanning bottles.
How do I export my data?
Go to Settings > Export Data in the app. You can export your vitamin tracking history as a CSV file.

Is my data safe?
Absolutely! Your data is stored locally on your device by default. If you use sync, it's encrypted end-to-end. We never sell or share your personal information.
Do you track my location?
No, VitGuru doesn't use or request location permissions. We respect your privacy.
